Working with an Attorney
Most civil and family law investigation works best with an attorney directing the work. An attorney sets the scope, protects the work product, and makes sure findings are used effectively. We work directly with counsel and also accept referrals from attorneys whose clients need investigative support.
Some research related to family law and custody matters can be done without attorney representation. The scope of what can be released may be more limited than in matters handled through counsel. Privacy laws govern what information can be obtained and disclosed depending on the purpose and the requestor. For more on how those rules shape the work, see the Research and Privacy page.
