About Liberty Investigations
Liberty Investigations Inc was founded in 2002 by Allison Vinson. Allison has more than twenty-five years in the field, and works with a team of investigators who each bring specific expertise to a case.
Capital litigation is a large part of our work, covering pretrial capital murder cases, state and federal habeas proceedings, and ongoing capital punishment appellate matters across Texas. We are engaged by pro bono law firms, capital habeas units, innocence organizations, other nonprofit and justice organizations, and individual attorneys handling post-conviction and capital defense litigation.
Outside capital work, we handle other pretrial criminal defense matters, along with civil rights and civil liberties cases. On a selective basis we take on civil and family law matters and general investigative services for attorneys, individuals, families, and businesses.
Liberty Investigations is based in the Houston area and is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators. We are licensed by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Private Investigator License A11211, and insured as required by law.
